For The Love Of Krsna!

When one of my disciples asked me why she should not get to read and know some of the more difficult texts whereas there are others who do that?
I told her that what is most suitable for the disciple the teacher will teach and explain.
Just the way Shri Ramakrishnaji says that the loving mother makes different dishes of fish for her children, depending on their tastes and capacities to digest. She makes fried fish, fish curry, fish soup and so on suitable to the taste of that child.
Likewise,a good teacher will teach only that which is most appropriate for the disciple and not something that may disturb the understanding of that student.
Krsna's avatar came into being so that the dissemination of the Veda's can be done in a very simplistic manner. Hence He condensed the teachings of the Veda's and the other esoteric texts and gave a very simple learning to one and all.
He gave us the various Gita's that we hear about.
The Bhagvad Gita, the Uddhav Gita, the Srimad Bhagvad, the Anu Gita and the Uttara Gita are some of the texts which were culled from His teachings.
Now here we have a great spiritual Guru Krsna posting some of the most wonderful knowledge and passing it on for the future generations to refer to without racking their brains on the more difficult texts like the Veda's and the Upanishads.
Hence when the disciple asked me about the esoteric text much more complicated than the simple Gita's I refrained from giving it to her.
Not that I doubt the brain power of that disciple, but it will simply cloud the brain further which otherwise can be used for much more simpler tasks.
There are various philosophies from the past which are to be contemplated upon more vigorously and dwelt upon and then arriving at the same destination as others.
Every philosophy concludes the same stuff but the path and approaches are different.
It is like climbing the same Mount Everest from Nepal, China,India and from other locations. The summit is the same but the approaches are different.
That which will cause us the least trouble we should take and get to the designated end point.
According to Narad Muni the most suitable path for this yuga is the Bhakti Marg so let us be as simple as we can and try to reach the ultimate goal of Krsna Prem through the path of Bhakti or Devotion.
Let us begin the journey with much simpler teachings and stories which all of us can co-relate to in our lives.
